  • Henry Andrew Francken and his Manuscripts The one man who was most important in assisting Morin in spreading the degrees in the New World was a naturalized French subject of Dutch origin named Henry Andrew Francken. Morin appointed him Deputy Grand Inspector General as one of his first acts after returning to the West Indies. Francken worked closely with Morin and, in 1771, produced a manuscript book giving the rituals for the 15th through the 25th degrees. Francken produced at least two more similar manuscripts, one in 1783 and another about 1786. The second and third of these manuscripts included all the degrees from the 4th through the 25th. [14] A Loge de Parfaits d' Écosse was formed on 12 April 1764 at New Orleans, becoming the first high degree lodge on the North American continent. Its public life, however, was short, as the Treaty of Paris (1763) ceded New Orleans to Spain, and the Catholic Spanish crown had been historically hostile to Freemasonry. Documented Masonic activity ceased for a time and did not re-appear publicly in New Orleans until the 1790s. [13] Francken travelled to New York in 1767 where he granted a Patent, dated 26 December 1767, for the formation of a Lodge of Perfection at Albany. This marked the first time the Degrees of Perfection (the 4th through the 14th) were conferred in one of the thirteen British colonies. This Patent, and the early minutes of the Lodge, are still extant and are in the archives of Supreme Council, Northern Jurisdiction. [13] While in New York, Francken also communicated the degrees to Moses Michael Hays, a Jewish businessman, and appointed him a Deputy Inspector General. In 1781, Hays made eight Deputy Inspectors General, four of whom were later important in the establishment of Scottish Rite Freemasonry in South Carolina: Isaac Da Costa Sr., D.I.G. for South Carolina; Abraham Forst, D.I.G. for Virginia; Joseph M. Myers, D.I.G. for Maryland; and Barend M. Spitzer, D.I.G. for Georgia. Da Costa returned to Charleston, S.C., and established the "Sublime Grand Lodge of Perfection" in February 1783. After Da Costa's death in November 1783, Hays appointed Myers as Da Costa's successor. Joined by Forst and Spitzer, Myers created additional high degree bodies in Charleston and, by 1801, the Charleston bodies were the only extant bodies of the Rite in North America. • "The Science of Being Great" by W. D. Wattles rosicrucian society rosicrucian societas rocicruciana group rosicrucian brotherhood rose croix orders SRIA CHAPTER 1: ANY PERSON MAY BECOME GREAT THERE is a Principle of Power in every person. By the intelligent use and direction of this principle, man can develop his own mental faculties. Man has an inherent power by which he may grow in whatsoever direction he pleases, and there does not appear to be any limit to the possibilities of his growth. Talent may merely be one faculty developed out of proportion to other faculties, but genius is the union of man and God in the acts of the soul. Man can train and develop himself. He alone has this power, and he has it to an apparently unlimited extent. The purpose of life for man is growth, just as the purpose of life for trees and plants is growth. Trees and plants grow automatically and along fixed lines; man can grow, as he will. Trees and plants can only develop certain possibilities and characteristics; man can develop any power, which is or has been shown by any person, anywhere. Man is formed for growth, and he is under the necessity of growing. It is essential to his happiness that he should continuously advance. Life without progress becomes unendurable, and the person who ceases from growth must either become imbecile or insane. The greater and more harmonious and well rounded his growth, the happier man will be. Every man comes into the world with a predisposition to grow along certain lines, and growth is easier for him along those lines than in any other way. In times of national stress and peril the cracker-box loafer of the corner store and the village drunkard become heroes and statesmen through the quickening of the Principle of Power within them. There is a genius in every man and woman, waiting to be brought forth. Every village has its great man or woman; someone to whom all go for advice in time of trouble; some one who is instinctively recognized as being great in wisdom and insight. To such a one the minds of the whole community turn in times of local crisis; he is tacitly recognized as being great. He does small things in a great way. He could do great things as well if he did but undertake them; so can any man; so can you. The Principle of Power gives us just what we ask of it; if we only undertake little things, it only gives us power for little things; but if we try to do great things in a great way it gives us all the power there is. But beware of undertaking great things in a small way: of that we shall speak farther on. There are two mental attitudes a man may take. One makes him like a football. It has resilience and reacts strongly when force is applied to it, but it originates nothing; it never acts of itself. There is no power within it. Men of this type are controlled by circumstances and environment, their destinies are decided by things external to themselves. The Principle of Power within them is never really active at all. They never speak or act from within. The other attitude makes man like a flowing spring. Power comes out from the center of him. He has within him a well of water springing up into everlasting life, he radiates force; heist felt by his environment. The Principle of Power in him is in constant action. He is self-active. “He hath life in himself.” The awakening of the Principle of Power in man is the real conversion; the passing from death to life. It is when the dead hear the voice of the Son of Man and come forth and live. It is the resurrection and the life. When it is awakened, man becomes a son of the Highest and all power is given to him in heaven and on earth. Nothing was ever in any man that is not in you; no man ever had more spiritual or mental power than you can attain, or did greater things than you can accomplish. You can become what you want to be. CHAPTER 2: HEREDITY AND OPPORTUNITY YOU are not barred from attaining greatness by heredity. No matter who or what your ancestors may have been or how unlearned or lowly their station, the upward way is open for you. There is no such thing as inheriting a fixed mental position; no matter how small the mental capital we receive from our parents, it may be increased; no man is born incapable of growth. Heredity counts for something. We are born with subconscious mental tendencies; as, for instance, a tendency to melancholy, or cowardice, or to ill temper; but all these subconscious tendencies may be overcome. When the real man awakens and comes forth he can throw them off very easily. Nothing of this kind need keep you down; if you have inherited undesirable mental tendencies, you can eliminate them and put desirable tendencies in their places. An inherited mental trait is a habit of thought of your father or mother impressed upon your subconscious mind; you can substitute the opposite impression by forming the opposite habit of thought. You can substitute a habit of cheerfulness for a tendency to despondency; you can overcome cowardice or ill temper. << Previous [1] 2 3 4 5 ...95 Next >>

  • Hermetic Rosicrucian Rosicrucian Society - The Oldest American Rociscurican Order Brotherhood Fraternity Rosy Cross Fellowship Hermetic beliefs rosicrucian society rosicrucian societas rocicruciana group rosicrucian brotherhood rose croix orders SRIA Hermeticism encompasses both panentheism and Monistic-polytheism within its belief system, which teaches that there is The All, or one "Cause", of which we, and the entire universe, are all a part. Also it subscribes to the notion that other beings such as gods and angels, ascended masters and elementals exist in the Universe. Classical elements Main article: Classical elements The four classical elements of earth, water, air, and fire are used often in alchemy, and are alluded to several times in the Corpus Hermeticum. As above, so below "As Above, So Below" redirects here. For the Klaxons song, see As Above, So Below (song). The Magician displaying the Hermetic concept of as above, so below. These words circulate throughout occult and magical circles, and they come from Hermetic texts. The concept was first laid out in The Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus, in the words "That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above, corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracles of the One Thing" [19]. In accordance with the various levels of reality: physical, mental, and spiritual, this relates that what happens on any level happens on every other. This is however more often used in the sense of the microcosm and the macrocosm. The microcosm is oneself, and the macrocosm is the universe. The macrocosm is as the microcosm, and vice versa; within each lies the other, and through understanding one (usually the microcosm) you can understand the other[41 ]. Reincarnation There are mentions in Hermeticism about reincarnation. As Hermes states: "O son, how many bodies we have to pass through, how many bands of demons, through how many series of repetitions and cycles of the stars, before we hasten to the One alone?" [42]. Some [who?] say this refers to the various rebirths in one's spiritual nature, rather than the physical body. Morality, good, and evil Hermes explains in Book 9 of the Corpus Hermeticum that Nous brings forth both good and evil, depending on if he receives input from God or from the demons. God brings good, while the demons bring evil. Among those things brought by demons are: "adultery, murder, violence to one's father, sacrilege, ungodliness, strangling, suicide from a cliff and all such other demonic actions" [43]. This provides a clearcut view that Hermeticism does indeed include a sense of morality. However, the word good is used very strictly, to be restricted to use to the Supreme Good, God[44 ]. It is only God (in the sense of the Supreme Good, not The All) who is completely free of evil to be considered good. Men are exempt of having the chance of being good, for they have a body, consumed in the physical nature, ignorant of the Supreme Good[45 ]. Among those things which are considered extremely sinful, is the focus on the material life, said to be the only thing that offends God: "As processions passing in the road cannot achieve anything themselves yet still obstruct others, so these men merely process through the universe, led by the pleasures of the body" [46]. It is troublesome to oneself to have no "children". This is a symbolic description, not to mean physical, biological children, but rather creations. Immediately before this claim, it is explained that God is "the Father" because it has authored all things, it creates. Whether father or mother, one must create, do something positive in their life, as the Supreme Good is a "generative power". The curse for not having "children" is to be imprisoned to a body, neither male (active) nor female (thoughtful), leaving that person with a type of sterility, that of being unable to accomplish anything[47 ]. Cosmogony The tale is given in the first book of the Corpus Hermeticum by God's Nous to Hermes Trismegistus after much meditation. It begins as the ALL creates the elements after seeing the Cosmos and creating one just like it (our Cosmos) from its own constituent elements and souls. From there, the ALL, being both male (Divine Father) and female (Universal Mother), holding the Word (the logos), gave birth to a second Nous, creator of the world. This second Nous created seven powers, or deities, (often seen as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the Sun and the Moon) to travel in circles and govern destiny. The Word then leaps forth from the materializing elements, which made them unintelligent. Nous then made the governors spin, and from their matter sprang forth creatures without speech. Earth then was separated from Water and the animals (other than Man) were brought forth from the Earth. The Supreme Nous then created Man, androgynous, in his own image and handed over his creation. Man carefully observed the creation of his brother, the lesser Nous, and received his and his Father's authority over it all. Man then rose up above the spheres' paths to better view the creation, and then showed the form of the ALL to Nature. Nature fell in love with it, and Man, seeing a similar form to his own reflecting in the water fell in love with Nature and wished to dwell in it. Immediately Man became one with Nature and became a slave to its limitations such as gender and sleep. Man thus became speechless (for it lost the Word) and became double, being mortal in body but immortal in spirit, having authority of all but subject to destiny. The tale does not specifically contradict the theory of evolution, other than for Man, but most Hermeticists fully accept evolutionary theory as a solid grounding for the creation of everything from base matter to Man[48 ].

  • It is arguable that the definition rosicrucian society rosicrucian societas rocicruciana group rosicrucian brotherhood rose croix orders SRIA of wealth is the free and unrestricted use of all of the things which may be necessary for you to advance in the direction of your dreams and aspirations thus attaining your fullest mental, spiritual, and physical prosperity. You have a right to wealth because it is simply a desire for you to have a richer fuller and more abundant life. We live for the advancement of body, mind and soul and there is no reason to limit our capacities. Many people see wealth as greed. Ironically, poverty can and will frustrate your relationships with the spirit, people, and those you love. Accordingly, giving is one of the highest forms of love. If you are complacent, stay where you are and dont exercise your talents. However, if you want more out of life, we will give you some keys to prosperity. The world is plentiful with resources. You do not need: money to start, special talents, or the perfect business location. Many people become rich without any of this. Become willing to change. There is plenty of opportunity. Creativity, innovation, and abundance will go to the people who embrace life and not reject it. Nature has an inexhaustible source of riches and soul advancement is vital. Moreover, the last 100 years has shown more life improvements that the last 2000 years of civilization. We will now show you the first secret of life. This key to success can be yours if you simply accept the following statement. Just take it as fact, and the world will begin to move with you. THOUGHT PRECEEDS FORM You conceive of your desire, you believe it will happen, and you retrieve and receive your opportunities from the universe. As a rule, man originates thought that becomes plans of the mind. Man can communicate his focused thought and mental images throughout the universe. Your mind is the center of being. The presence of the universal spirit can be allowed into your mind, and your thoughts mixed with a thankful heart directed toward your inner presence can project into the world. These ideas will send off into the world like a letter of request. If practiced, the desires you have will be met. Do not focus on or speak of failure or poverty. Your truth is health, riches, success, and happiness. The universe wants you to have all that your need. Your motives should include helping your self and others and not hurt other people. Your motives should not be colored in greed, ego, pride, lust, competition, hate, resentment, arrogance. Your desires must be propelled by love, gratitude, faith, confidence, mental focus, truth, acceptance, creativity, positive expectation, clear planning, & giving more love and value than you take. TO BEGIN YOUR PROCESS OF PROSPERITY Brainstorm and clarify in you mind exactly what you want and how you will achieve it. Hold the picture of the moment you have completed the achievement with positive certainty. Claim it as yours, claim the picture of success as "FACT". Keep your mind conscious of the universal presence by being grateful. If you can not be grateful, begin to think of your ability to walk, talk, see, hear, travel, speak, etc. The simplest of freedoms are easily overlooked. People will soon not recognize your new outlook and serenity. Remember, that you must exercise this mental picturing and thankfulness every day for at least a month. After a month, you will not believe the difference in your attitude. Do not be scared or ashamed to ask for more than you need. Poverty and self sacrifice are not pleasing to anyone. We believe that there is a universal spirit of which unlimited abundance flows. We make the profound connection to the spirit by developing a strong feeling of thankfulness for the gifts we receive. Can you have happiness with a bitter heart? Can you have real faith when you are ungrateful? If so, good luck. If you want to feel that all is possible, then keep reading. Remember times when you got what you wanted and became arrogant. After you got what you wanted or got out of a jam, you abandoned your connection to spirit. When good things happen to you is the EXACT time that you should practice having a grateful heart to continue the flow of riches. Gratitude dispels doubt, keeps you connected, and prevents dissatisfaction. Continue to fix your attention on health, love, success, and good fortune. Your faith will be renewed; it may not happen over night, but soon after using this simple 5 minute a day practice, you WILL see and feel results. If you have trouble with certain negative triggers, then eliminate them or avoid them for a while. You are working on yourself, and it is OK to take care of your well-being first which will please all around you. This is putting your health first i.e. your spiritual health. Your desires and mental blueprint should be very specific. For example, you may write out on a piece of paper a personal agreement to yourself: I, John Doe, Jr., will have a million dollar business 4 years from today. I will sell creative WIDGETS. I will give the best service and value to my clients. My products and services have outstanding benefits to my customers. I will do all of these things, work hard, and be persistent. I will not give up. People will be glad to pay me for my services because they benefit the customer. I will gladly accept payment and do what is needed to receive the funds. July 1st, 2xxx John Doe, Jr. SIGNATURE Spend each day contemplating the million dollar business. Form a joyful mental image of you being paid in full - ONE MILLION DOLLARS FOR THE BUSINESS at that very moment of completing the transaction. You must engage life to secure each days small successes with faith and action. After mentally picturing your vision and reading your personal agreement, complete the process with the words "THANK YOU FOR THE BLESSING AND THANK YOU FOR PROTECTING ME" This will send it into the universe like a request that must be granted. You need only use your willingness on yourself and not upon others. You can use willingness to force yourself to think about your dreams. Every thought of doubt or poverty is a waste. Your creative ideas WILL be a success when you have a strong desire that your are willing to go the distance to fulfill. Do not tell the same old people of your plans. If you tell enough bitter people about your idea, their collective doubt may doom your dreams. Surround yourself with insightful professionals. Do not share about you difficulties or failures (unless in a secure group). Interest yourself in becoming rich in life! Focus on optimistic conversation. As for your plans, make lists of things to do and begin doing them one by one with faith and action. It may take a year to complete, but we must begin somewhere. Over the next decade, high degree Freemasonry continued to spread to the Western hemisphere as the high degree lodge at Bordeaux warranted or recognized seven Ecossais lodges there. In Paris in the year 1761, a Patent was issued to Estienne Morin, dated 27 August, creating him "Grand Inspector for all parts of the New World." This Patent was signed by officials of the Grand Lodge at Paris and appears to have originally granted him power over the craft lodges only, and not over the high, or "Ecossais", degree lodges. Later copies of this Patent appear to have been embellished, probably by Morin, to improve his position over the high degree lodges in the West Indies.[10 ] Early writers long believed that a "Rite of Perfection" consisting of 25 degrees, the highest being the "Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret", and being the predecessor of the Scottish Rite, had been formed in Paris by a high degree council calling itself "The Council of Emperors of the East and West". The title "Rite of Perfection" first appeared in the Preface to the "Grand Constitutions of 1786", the authority for which is now known to be faulty. [11] It is now generally accepted that this Rite of twenty-five degrees was compiled by Estienne Morin and is therefore more properly titled "The Rite of the Royal Secret", or "Morin's Rite". [12] Morin returned to the West Indies in 1762 or 1763, to Saint-Domingue, where, armed with his new Patent, he assumed powers to constitute lodges of all degrees, spreading the high degrees throughout the West Indies and North America. Morin stayed in Saint-Domingue until 1766 when he moved to Jamaica. At Kingston, Jamaica, in 1770, Morin created a "Grand Chapter" of his new Rite (the Grand Council of Jamaica). Morin died in 1771 and was buried in Kingston. [13]

" [1] Because of the opression of religious and philosophical beliefs, the study and teachings of these great leaders were only discussed by the chosen initiates: Through the centuries, the great teachings of transformation, alchemy, thought, abundance, character, matter and so forth were only available to the protected and the wealthy. Aristotle Pythagoras Marcus Aurelius Christ Swedenborg Meister Eckart Budda and many more In later centuries many esoteric societies have claimed to derive their doctrines, in whole or in part, from the original Rosicrucians. Several modern societies, which date the beginning of the Order to earlier centuries, have been formed for the study of Rosicrucianism and allied subjects. Note: Esoterism had its beginnings long before Luther, but during the renaissance, the expansion of such mystical teachings became much more prevalent.

  • The Secrets of The Rose Croix Brotherhood had found initial refuge in the Palatinate or Rhine of Germany which is near the Northern French boarder in the 1500’s. This was also a bastion of Calvinist and Free Celtic Catholic thinking and spiritual reform. Dynamic religious thinking had begun to flourish under Frederick V (Elector of Palatine of the Rhine) in the 1600s. Wars and battles over boundaries and Catholic Orthodoxy plagued the central European regions for over 100 more years. Masonic and Rosicrucian activities had been documented and more open since the liberations and movements by Martin Luther and other free thinkers. Enhanced mystical degrees had been established in Bordeaux, France. Around 1744, the a French trader, by the name of Estienne Morin became involved in Bordeaux chapter. Around 1747, Morin became determined to found an "Ecossais" lodge (Scots Masters Lodge) in the new world. It is now generally accepted that this Rite of twenty-five degrees was compiled by Estienne Morin and is therefore more properly titled "The Rite of the Royal Secret", or "Morin's Rite". The one man who was most important in assisting Morin in spreading the degrees in the New World was a naturalized French subject of Dutch origin named Henry Andrew Francken. Francken worked closely with Morin to produced a manuscript book giving the rituals for the 4th through the 25th degrees. During this time, The Les Loge de Parfaits d' Écosse was formed on 12 April 1764 at New Orleans, becoming the first high degree lodge on the North American continent. Its PUBLIC life, however, was short, as the Treaty of Paris (1763) ceded New Orleans from France to Spain, and the Catholic Spanish crown had been historically hostile to Freemasonry. Soon thereafter, Francken travelled to New York in 1767 where he granted a Patent, dated 26 December 1767, for the formation of a Lodge of Perfection at Albany. This marked the first time the Degrees of Perfection (the 4th through the 14th) were conferred in one of the thirteen British colonies. Although the Orleans Chapter of Perfection and Royal Secrets remained clandestine, it never died. This book addresses the philosophies and teachings of the Secret Lodge as delivered by its’ Supreme Magus. The Supreme Magus is active with the Research Society of the Loge de Parfait Est. 1764. • Societas Rosicruciana rosicrucian society rosicrucian societas rocicruciana group rosicrucian brotherhood rose croix orders SRIA The Societas Rosicruciana (or Rosicrucian Society) has traditionally been a Rosicrucian order which limits its membership to Christian Master Masons. The order was founded in Scotland, but which now exists in England, Scotland, Canada, France, Portugal, Romania, Ireland and the United States. While a prospective member must be a Trinitarian Christian Master Mason in good standing with a Grand Lodge that is recognized by the Grand Lodge of the jurisdiction in which the Society meets, the various Societies have no other Masonic links, ties, or official recognition. Additionally, in a few jurisdictions membership is by invitation only. As the Society offers assistance to all its members in working out the great problems of nature and science, it functions in some respects as a research society. History of Rosicrucian Societies The Societas Rosicruciana claims a link to the original Rosicrucian Brotherhood and bases its teachings on those found in the Fama and Confessio Fraternitas texts published in Germany in the early 1600s, along with other similar publications from the same time. There are a number of Societas Rosicrucianas throughout the world: SocietasRosicruciana.com - Societas Rosicruciana ARO ⊕ 1764 in New Orleans - ARO Loge de Parfait of 1764 - Which was imported by a patent from the Bordeaux Germanic Lodges. Societas Rosicruciana in Scotia (SRIS) One of the first Societas Rosicruciana was that of Scotland, known as the Societas Rosicruciana in Scotia (SRIS). Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (SRIA) The Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia was founded in 1867 and derived from the SRIS following the admission of William James Hughan and Robert Wentworth Little into that order. The two of them were advanced quickly in Scotland and granted a warrant to form a Society in England. The formation meeting took place on June 1, 1867 in Aldermanbury, London, with Frater Little elected Supreme Magus. Australian colleges belong to provinces within the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (SRIA). Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis (SRICF) The Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis (Rosicrucian Society of the United States) was formed on September 21, 1880, through Colleges founded again through Scotland. The Pennsylvania College received a charter from SRIS on December 27, 1879. This was followed by charters issued to New York on April 9, 1880; Massachusetts, May 4, 1880; Maryland, May 10, 1880; and Vermont on September 22, 1880. Of all the Colleges in the United States, only the one located in Massachusetts maintains continuity from its origins and was never reorganized. [1] Societas Rosicruciana in America (SRIAm) In 1909, Dr. George Winslow Plummer (1876-1944) founded the Societas Rosicruciana in America, apparently seceding from the SRICF; this group dropped the requirement that members be Christian Master Masons and admits women. It was never formally recognized by the SRIA, as they (the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia) have formal relations in the USA with the SRICF. Societas Rosicruciana in Canada (SRIC) The Societas Rosicruciana in Canadiensis was first mentioned in a declaration dated May 31, 1876, but it was not formally constituted (by a Col. McLeod Moore, through his acquaintance with John Yarker) until September 19 of that year. Most of the membership came from the town of Maitland, Ontario. The society constituted a High Council exactly one year later, but the Society went into abeyance at some point after 1889. [2] In 1936, Ontario College was created via a charter from SRICF. Manly Palmer Hall's father, E.H.D. Hall, a member of Canada's first Rosicrucian Society, was voted a charter member of the Ontario College. Due to possible jurisdictional issues, rather than procure a charter from SRIA or SRIS, a Canadian High Council was formed on June 29, 1997, and the SRIC is now an independent body. [3] Societas Rosicruciana in Hibernia (SRIH) The Societas Rosicruciana in Hibernia, (SRIH) was brought about through the efforts of two Irish Masons, namely, Frater Rev. Sean P. McCabe and Frater John Phelan, both of whom previously held membership of an SRIA College in England. It was formally Declared on 1st August, 2008 and is the official regular Societas for the Island of Ireland, (Hibernia) and exists independently of any other organisation. The SRIH is recognised by the Body of Christ. Degrees and governance The Order is subdivided into three smaller orders, each with its own governance. The various orders confer a total of nine degrees, here called grades . [4] First Order Members of the 1st Order (Frater (singular) Fratres (plural)) meet in a College, which is equivalent to a Lodge. A College is empowered to confer the first four degrees of the Society, also called the Learning Grades. Grade I - Zelator Grade II - Theoricus Grade III - Practicus Grade IV - Philosophus A minimum of six months must elapse between the receipt of each grade. However, the emphasis on the work of the society is learning; therefore every member is encouraged to deliver a paper of their own work on some topic of interest in open college. Second Order This is equivalent to a Masonic Provincial Grand Lodge, and is headed by a Chief Adept and his deputy (Suffragan) who have jurisdiction over all of the first order Colleges within the Province. The Chief Adept is empowered to confer three further Grades at this level to deserving Fratres of Grade IV who have been members of the Society for a minimum of four years. Grade V - Adeptus Minor Grade VI - Adeptus Major Grade VII - Adeptus Exemptus A minimum of one year must elapse between the receipt of grades at this level. A member can only serve as the Celebrant (Master) of a College of the First Order after receiving the Grade of Adeptus Exemptus. Third Order This is equivalent to a Grand Lodge, and is headed by a Supreme Magus, Senior Substitute Magus and Junior Substitute Magus. Members of the second order who have given service to the society and been selected by the Supreme Magus for such advancement may be awarded a further two Grades. Grade VIII - Magister Grade IX - Magus Influences In 1888, three members of SRIA ( William Robert Woodman, William Wynn Westcott, and Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers [5]) formed the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, which removed the restriction on membership, allowing non-Christians, non-Freemasons, and women to join. A great deal of the SRIA structure survived in the new order, which went on to greatly influence (some might say cause) the modern occult revival in the 20th century. Due to the fragmentary nature of Rosicrucian orders, there are a number of historical Rosicrucian societies with similar names that either no longer have a Masonic connection, or have gone dormant: The SRIA (A for "America") was chartered by the SRIA (in England) in Philadelphia in 1878. It reformed in 1889 as Societas Rosicruciana in the United States (SRIUS), and reformed again as SRIA in 1912. In 1916 the order began admitting women, and its charter was revoked. It is in existence today, but has no Masonic connections whatsoever. • Whenever an rosicrucian society rosicrucian societas rocicruciana group rosicrucian brotherhood rose croix orders SRIA individual begins their adult life, they obtain specific training, jobs, and some basic skills also. Nevertheless, there is always a celebrated group of us who succeed and many of us who fail. What separates the two groups? There are many psychological, human potential, and even metaphysical strategies advocated to improve your performance or reinvigorate your potential. The irony to life is that we will all need to sell and grow our character, credentials, and capabilities in just about any career that we engage. To begin this discussion, let us start with the premise that all great businesses begin with an idea. Many businesses are successful; thus, thoughts can turn into real things. Your thoughts combined with the appropriate desire and plans are the basis of most success. A strong desire is usually what can bring your idea into a reality. So, if you begin your goals in life with the strong desire to succeed and never look back, you probably are successful if you have the persistence to continue through the inevitable cycles of the financial and insurance industry. All of us began with some sort of plan of action to grow. Some of us had very detailed plans and others did not. Planning is crucial because most people do not define what they will do and are scared to write down exactly what they want to achieve and how they will realize the goal in any degree of specificity. Thus, having definite objectives and a specific plan along with a strong desire for success is generally what is needed to accomplish great things. A burning desire is something that you really want to do. Here are some attributes of winners: You should have faith that you can make your plan happen. You are willing to sever the past and move forward with your objectives and desires. You are willing to focus exclusively on specific projects, and never give up. Having your stated objectives while engaging positive thoughts, enthusiasm, and persistence that is built on honesty and integrity will propel your business and personal growth. In this next section, there are clear bullet points that describe an easy exercise to define your plan. This involves putting pen to paper. On paper, you will write out clearly what you want to achieve. How to Create a Personal Agreement with Yourself by Firmly Establishing What You Want. Write Your Plan in Specific Terms by Determining: · What you desire to accomplish (the amount of clients or success or service to the community or annual salary) · What service, time commitment, and value you will give to earn and deserve the outcome · The date your goal will be achieved. · Sign and date the written agreement with yourself · Read the plan daily upon beginning your workday and before retiring for the evening. · Frequently feel that you have achieved success in heart and mind and harvest that emotion of achievement. Enthusiasm and Faith can be induced through several practices or exercises: Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude are some of the major forces that when coupled with your desire can propel a plan. As for the Metaphysical Aspect of Success: Many members use this technique for a few minutes a day to reaffirm their personal faith and success mentality so that they will indeed accomplish what they desire. · Find a quiet spot to relax · Read statements of desire (think about your personal objectives in you minds eye) · Practice forming mental images of your personal success in your spare time. · Project the image of your success on the subconscious mind using a heart felt energy. See that you have success already in your imagination For example, imagine yourself achieving your goals and feel the emotions of achieving that goal at year-end. · Affirmations reading aloud the professional and successful attributes that you desire such as: "I am a successful person and deserve to have great rewards. (OR you should read your personal contract statement frequently) · Use gratitude and thankfulness of heart. As many success writers state, "Complaining and being negative is a waste of your time and energy". Moreover, when being thankful for your job, career, clients and so forth, you will create an energy of attraction that will bring you more positive outcomes, happiness, and success. Further, new opportunities and your existing relationships will be more attracted to your successful and positive outlook. Believe me, people can sense this. Therefore, you should contemplate the good in your life while relaxing. · Combine the above with Action, Action and More Action See Below. As for a Successful Action Plan · Your actions must be persistent. This would suggest that we should be proactive in building new relationships as well as keeping existing ones. · Avoid lack of decision and procrastination, and stick with your decision and plan. An example of this would be to let go of a bad client, if this relationship is consistently abusing your time and energy without just rewards and payment for your time. · Know each day what you will do to move forward with your business plans. Be efficient and effective. Do all you can do each day without haste. Do not worry about yesterday or tomorrow. Today, you should accomplish all you can. Over time, this adds up, and you will receive positive results in your business. · Strong thoughts of gratitude and enthusiasm will bring about change for the better in you and your environment. This simply means to focus on being the best and thinking about the best for you, your family, and your business. · Organize your affairs so that you can receive the rewards of a better business. Thus, allow for new and better ideas and opportunities. Believe that you deserve them. Do not be afraid to charge them value for value. • "The Science of Creative Thought" rosicrucian society rosicrucian societas rocicruciana group rosicrucian brotherhood rose croix orders SRIA by Wallace D. Wattles CHAPTER 1: The Right To Be Rich WHATEVER MAY BE SAID IN PRAISE OF POVERTY, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No one can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money, for to unfold the soul and to develop talent he must have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with. A person develops in mind, soul, and body by making use of things, and society is so organized that man must have money in order to become the possessor of things. Therefore, the basis of all advancement must be the science of getting rich. The object of all life is development, and everything that lives have an inalienable right to all the development it is capable of attaining. A person’s right to life means his right to have the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to his fullest mental, spiritual, and physical unfolding; or, in other words, his right to be rich. In this book, I shall not speak of riches in a figurative way. To be really rich does not mean to be satisfied or contented with a little. No one ought to be satisfied with a little if he is capable of using and enjoying more. The purpose of nature is the advancement and unfolding of life, and everyone should have all that can contribute to the power, elegance, beauty, and richness of life. To be content with less is sinful. The person who owns all he wants for the living of all the life he is capable of living is rich, and no person who has not plenty of money can have all he wants. Life has advanced so far and become so complex that even the most ordinary man or woman requires a great amount of wealth in order to live in a manner that even approaches completeness. Every person naturally wants to become all that they are capable of becoming. This desire to realize innate possibilities is inherent in human nature; we cannot help wanting to be all that we can be. Success in life is becoming what you want to be. You can become what you want to be only by making use of things, and you can have the free use of things only as you become rich enough to buy them. To understand the science of getting rich is therefore the most essential of all knowledge. There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life — and that desire is praiseworthy. The person who does not desire to live more abundantly is abnormal, and so the person who does not desire to have money enough to buy all he wants is abnormal. There are three motives for which we live: We live for the body, we live for the mind, and we live for the soul. No one of these is better or holier than the other; all are alike desirable, and no one of the three — body, mind, or soul — can live fully if either of the others is cut short of full life and expression. << Previous [1] 2 3 4 5 ...75 Next >>
